This is a clean, bitter flavored hop with a distinctive woody taste. The signature hop in California Common style (AKA "steam") beers of San Francisco. It's also great in lagers and ales of all kinds.

A common commercial example of this hop in use is by Anchor Brewing in their world famous Anchor Steam.

NET WEIGHT 1 OUNCES  | ALPHA ACID 8-10%

These hops can be used as both Bittering and Aroma hops.

For bitering, these hops are added at the beginning of the boil. Typically, this is a 60 minute boil, but since our kits already have bittering hops added, any supplemental bittering hops will be boiled for no longer than 20 minutes.

The higher the alpha acid % and the longer the hops are boiled, the more bitterness the hops will impart. When boiling hops with our kits, it is highly recommended that you add a Liquid or Dry Malt Extract Softpack to the boil, or the hops won’t leave behind any bitterness. Do NOT boil the Brewing Extract.

For aroma, these hops are added at the end of the boil, or after 1 week of fermentation for “dry-hopping”. These hops contribute the flavor and aromas to beer. When dry-hopping, be sure to sanitize the hop sack (if using one) by boiling in hot water or submerging in One-Step No-Rinse solution for a few minutes before adding the hops

Rated 5 out of 5 by FLRHCARR from Very Hoppy With these Though my beer isn't finished, these hops are very nice & made it smell wonderful. Very fresh, not like some packaged hops I have purchased elsewhere. Also the taste test on my Mountain Pop beer was delightful. I may look to get a batch of these for sticking in my pillow sometime. They are good for helping one sleep. Although. . .I may wind wanting a beer first thing in the morning.
