Crafted with the early white beers of Belgium at heart, the Witty Monk Witbier is a modern day classic. Crisp and refreshing, this spiced wheat beer is perfect for keeping cool during the long days of summer. Subtle notes of coriander and orange peel will permeate the air as this delicate pale gold brew is poured into your favorite mug.

1 Packet One-Step™ Sanitizing Cleanser

INGREDIENTS: MALTED WHEAT, MALTED TWO ROW BARLEY, HOPS, HOP EXTRACT, WATER, AND YEAST (Packed Under Lid).

All Mr.Beer® mixes feature a complex blend of Pale malt, Caramel malt, Chocolate malt, Vienna malt and Munich malt. Blended with the finest hops by master brewers in state-of-the-art facilities, they provide the optimum flavor profiles for award winning beers.

ABV -- Strength given in percent of alcohol by volume.

SRM -- Color based on Standard Reference Method, where as:
(fruits may give some additional color.)
- Pale Beers are between 0 - 6
- Amber Beers are between 7 - 13
- Dark Beers are 14 - 20
- Black Beers are 21 and over

IBU -- Shown in International Bittering Units, where:
- Low bitterness 0 - 20
- Moderate bitterness 21 - 30
- Noticeable bitterness 31 and over

Witty Monk Witbier

Use these instructions when brewing any of our PREMIUM REFILL. Made with 2 cans of Premium Hopped Malt Extract (HME), these brews are specially formulated to produce 2 gallons of our highest-quality beer.

REFILL INCLUDES:

2 Packets Dry Brewing Yeast (under lid of HMEs)
1 Packet One-Step™ Sanitizing Cleanser

Step 1: Sanitizing
Follow the steps outlined in your MR.BEER® BEER KIT INSTRUCTIONS. (You can find a copy of these instructions to download by clicking on the "Kits" tab of the website.)

Step 2: Brewing
2.1. Fill keg with cold water to the 4-quart mark on the back.

2.2. Remove yeast packet from under lid of both HMEs, then place unopened cans in hot tap water (warm liquid pours more easily).

2.3. Using a sanitized measuring cup, place 4 cups of water into a clean 3-quart pot.

2.4. Bring water to a boil and remove from heat. Stir both cans of HME into pot (this mixture is called the wort).

NOTE: HOPS MAY APPEAR AS GREEN LEAF PARTICLES AND WILL NOT DISSOLVE.

2.5. Pour wort into keg. Bring the volume of the keg to the 8.5-quart mark by adding more cold water. Stir vigorously to mix well.

2.6. Sprinkle both yeast packs into keg and allow to sit for 5 minutes. Stir vigorously again, then screw on lid.

2.7. Place keg out of direct sunlight, in a location with a consistent temperature (between 68°-76°F)

Allow to sit a MINIMUM OF 7 DAYS.

TIP: FOR OPTIMAL FLAVOR ALLOW TO SIT FOR 14 DAYS.

CAUTION: DO NOT OPEN BREW KEG LID AT ANY TIME DURING FERMENTATION; THIS CAN CAUSE BEER SPOILAGE.
