6 Gallon - High Capacity Fermenter

This unique, patented brewing system is completely reusable and is comprised of 5 parts; our high capacity fermenter, Krausen Kollar, lid, Snap Tap, and bottling wand. This vessel will make 3 cases of award winning beer with every batch. The Krausen Kollar adds that extra head space for your bigger brews while also minimizing yeast carryover, dramatically reducing cleaning time. The Snap Tap separates for easy cleaning, while the bottling wand makes for simple and accurate bottling. This vessel and its parts are designed to industry leading standards and made of durable BPA free plastic that is UV-resistant, dishwasher safe and imparts zero flavor to the beer.

Brewing Extract

Each kit includes Classic American Light 24LX Refill-- Pale straw color, mild in flavor and lighter bodied with a crisp, dry finish. A true to character representation of our nation’s favorite beer style. Serve ice cold for a clean, refreshing taste that has passed the test of time. Refills may change due to stock on hand.

30 Plastic 740mL Bottles, Caps and Labels

Each kit includes reusable plastic (PET) bottles, complete with screw caps and labels. These FDA approved bottles are specifically designed to hold beer.

No Rinse Cleanser

This is a No-Rinse Cleanser that cleans and disinfects with oxygen, and doesn't require rinsing when used to disinfect. When used properly, it will not contribute to off flavors to your beer. This single pouch will prepare both keg and bottles for one batch of beer.

Carbonation Drops

For use instead of priming sugar when bottling. Carbonation Drops are a convenient, no mess, no fuss alternative to priming sugar. Each package contains 22 drops.

Craft BrewMax® 6G Kit is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good size for those bigger batches I bought this wanting to brew bigger batches at a time. I waited till it went on sale. It is a great value. I had been using the 2 gallon versions which work good. But the 6 gallon version is easier to use for the most part. It is less complicated to fill, mix, bottle with it, and clean. But it is big as its to be expected. Washing it in a normal kitchen sink is a task. Sanitizing is a pain in a regular sink. Carrying it ~60lbs. But those few down sides don't keep me from using it. Almost everything thats comes with the kit works great except the carbo drops. Throw those things in the trash. I say go for it. I would buy it again. In fact I just might buy a second 6 gallon kit if it goes on sale again for under $100.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great alternative to more traditional (and cumbersome) fermentation vessels I have been using the Coopers fermenter (which is the exact same thing as this) for many years. Since Mr. Beer started selling it, I decided to get another on sale. First of all, for me, this style of fermenter is much easier and less cumbersome than fermenters you may find at homebrew stores. Lugging around a giant glass jug is hard (and dangerous) enough, much less with 5 gallons of liquid inside. Plastic buckets have annoying lids, you can't see inside, and you have to alter it to install spigots yourself. This one has none of the stuff I hated about other fermenters. It is easy to clean (no brushes or anything necessary), I don't have to worry about siphoning and racking, the spigot is easy to remove and take apart, you can see inside it, and after messing around with the jug fermenters, I love not worrying about trying to aim for a little funnel, pour slowly, or spill on the floor while doing it; I can just dump it in with no worries. This vessel can be used for any all-grain or extract brewing as well, so it's a great choice as a fermenter if you were interested in getting into brewing but where daunted by all the equipment that they tell you is needed. All the stuff it comes with is good, too. The spoon is long and high quality (it's not pictured here, but it comes with it). The bottling wand can leak a bit (other are spring loaded to prevent that, this is not), but it's not a big deal, either use something to catch drips or turn the spigot off between bottles. Plastic bottles are easy, reusable, and help you know how your carbonation is going (since you can squeeze it).My biggest complaint is that it doesn't come with the hydrometer. For the same price, the Coopers set can be purchased with everything this set has plus a hydrometer (and a Coopers Lager HME can, which IMO is much better than the cans that come with this set). Since Coopers owns Mr Beer, and everything is shipped from the same place (I imagine; My Coopers kit was sent with a return address that said "Mr. Beer" on it), why are the sites separate? I imagine it would be good integrate everything and put it all on one site and offer the Coopers 6g cans to Mr Beer shoppers instead of just the small ones. Oh well, small complaints.Great product, usable for beginners, and continues to be usable as they move up and become more advanced. Great and convenient for already seasoned brewers as well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice upgrade I had been using a couple of the 2G barrels for about 3 years. This is a nice upgrade that allows me to crank out a nice volume of standard classic batches the everyone enjoys. I still use the 2G barrels for "Limited" batches of recipes I tinker with. I love the Krausen collar feature and the bottling wand. Dislike lifting and moving.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Stop Bundle I bought this when it was on sale for $89. I was not about to pay the full price to get CAL when I have absolutely no desire for that HME. I would suggest either sell the fermenter separately or give us a choice as to which HME we would like. Also the bottling wand is cheap, always leaks and I had it pop out while bottling this past weekend and spill beer everywhere. I do like the fermenter in general, easy to use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy To Use!! When I received my kit I was a little upset because of how some of the bottles were packed causing them to get crushed a little. Most I was able to pop back out, but that should have never happened to begin with. After all you are paying a pretty hefty price for just a plastic container to brew beer in. I'm not knocking the kit because it is a great one and if it wasn't for the fact I got it for a great discount during one of their spontaneous sales I wouldn't have bought it. Overall the ease of use and the fact that the kit is pretty heavy duty makes it great to have and should last a very long time. On the other hand the bottle spigot leaves a lot to be desired, for it can leak. What would be nice is to see them improve the quality of this and maybe make a multiple bottle spigot where you could bottle more than just one at a time. The Diablo mix which came with it I wasn't too excited at first about it and said what the heck I'll go ahead and use this one first so if I screw up the brew then no big waste. However, after I brewed it, I stored it for several months in the frig I decided to give it a taste and it was delicious. I had several people try it and they were surprised that it tasted so good and some of them are die hard beer aficionado's. The selection of mixes could be expanded a little, however I will say just by the use of recipes it really broadens your range of beers you can produce. Am I'm happy with my purchase? Yes, I just would like to be able to find the time to make my beer on a regular basis instead of just once in awhile.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice details Krausen collar is genius. Plenty of head space, so no worry of a blow out. Bottling wand fits perfectly for bottle filling or batch priming into another vessel. Love that it's clear. The only downfall is CAL, not the greatest HME but a good one to start with. Price is tad high too vs competitors bundles

Rated 4 out of 5 by from easy to use and clean There are two reasons I like this kit. One is it is easy to use. The bottle wand makes filling bottles a breeze. The second is it's very easy to take apart and clean. I recommend using the Craft Brewmax 6G kit highly.
