This German hop strain boasts intense pineapple and citrus notes with a resinous herbal finish. It’s a great aroma hop for American IPA and variants, saisons, Brett fermentations, and other beers where a definite fruity and strongly hoppy character is beneficial.

This German hop strain boasts intense pineapple and citrus notes with a resinous herbal finish. It’s a great aroma hop for American IPA and variants, saisons, Brett fermentations, and other beers where a definite fruity and strongly hoppy character is beneficial.

A common commercial example of this hop in use is by Firestone Walker in their Easy Jack IPA.

These hops are added at the end of the boil, or after 1 week of fermentation for “dry-hopping”. These hops contribute the flavor and aromas to beer. When dry-hopping, be sure to sanitize the hop sack (if using one) by boiling in hot water or submerging in One-Step No-Rinse solution for a few minutes before adding the hops

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Orange Slice - Optional I used these hops in the Tangerine IPA (brew and dry hop). The result was a mild orange citrus aroma up front with a supple orange finish . I recently used a more generous portions of these hops again in a Stout/Porter recipe called nom-nom . I’m super exited about this recipe. I dry hopped just two days ago and the aroma is that of orange slices in a Bavarian Schokolaudenhaus. My marks are high based on the Tangerine IPA. I’ll have to give a second review of the Mandarian hops and the Nom-Nom recipe in a 2-3 weeks. My expectations are very high. I think a dry hop with Mandarian is a solid option if you are looking for a supple orange finish.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from Great flavored Hops This was the first time we used the German Mandarina Hops and it definitely made a difference in the beer. It wasn't as strong as I thought it was going to be but it definitely added the citrus tones to the beer we were looking for. Great product

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mr Brew from Yum Great citrus flavor - we’ll packaged, and quality product. I use these often - been using Mr. Beer kits for about 2 years now, and they never disappoint.
