Long Play IPA but not too longWhere to begin? So I work a long way from home and thought, why not Long Play IPA? I can not always get beer so I had my wife send me this kit. I brewed according to instructions and I went ahead and added some cascade hops and some brew max booster, the temperature must have been perfect and since I'm not very patient I tried a bottle before the two week bottle condition time, to my surprise it was already carbonated and was very tasty! Since I could not have otherwise gotten any beer, I kept them all for myself and did not share a single one. Once I got home I brewed 3 batches of different Mr beer recipes, I like the fact that Mr Beer uses two gallon kegs, that way I can brew different beers, it's easy and fun and I even got my wife involved, I look forward to returning home again to see how my other batches have turned out, I definitely will be brewing more!

Long play reviewI was expecting a classic west coast IPA flavor and a blonde color and it tastes more like a east coast IPA and is very dark red in color. I bought a couple others that I’m going to make and hope they are a little more to my taste preferences but this whole thing is an experiment and a fun new hobby so we’re good either way . The beer will not go to waste.

Easy drinking IPAThis was my first beer of the craft series edition. I like it a lot but would probably lean more towards the Diablo IPA if I had to only choose one.

IPA With A Long FinishWonderful brew! I definitely rate it at 5 stars! I followed the directions provided, left it in the keg for about 2 weeks, and in bottles about 3 weeks before refrigerating. The brew has a clear golden color, a nice long hoppy flavor, with a great finish. Definitely a Long Play finish! I would also recommend the Brew Talk session on brewing the Long Play IPA with Robert and Ashley--very helpful.

All we need is Mr. Beer and our local brewery!!Instructions and ingredients are complete. We even looked at Mr. Beer u tube. The process was fun. Dos equis is now in the bottles and ready to refrigerate and drink in a week. Meanwhile have the ipa is in a keg. Used sugar instead of carbonated drops for the dos equis. So far so good. Easy to keep temperature stable.

The good ones were greatWe ended up with 20 bottles all 12 ounces. About half of them were flat and the other half poured a normal head. We used nice glass amber bottles with the ceramic flip top with red gaskets. This next batch we soaked the gaskets and hopefully this will work.
