    Bewitched Amber Ale

Bewitched Amber Ale is yummy. I’ve made this one previously years ago and now I’m doing it again. It’s a winner especially in fall.

    A must try!

This was only my second batch of home brewed beer and I have to say that it far exceeded my expectations. The color is deep amber...almost mahogany. In terms of taste it is exceptional and compares favorably to any craft beer I could buy in this style. It is malt forward though supported by just the right amount of hop bitterness. The mouthfeel is full and round. And the carbonation is perfect. It came in at 5.2% ABV. There is a persistent head that is not overly foamy but hangs around even several minutes after the pour. Lovely lacing on the sides of the glass as you drink. In the interest of full disclosure I did not bottle condition what you see here. It was force carbonated using a tool and special cap for that purpose. The batch was bottled yesterday morning and most of it went into 22oz bomber crown caped bottles with priming sugar. But I reserved a couple of liters for force carbonation because I didn't want to wait two weeks to try it.

    Nice Brew!

It brewed smoothly and I added a pound of wheat malt extract to the wort. Bottled and conditioned it for 2 weeks and now I have a nice refreshing amber ale!

    Great Amber Ale

Brewed fermented and bottled. I let it sit for 14 Days bottle conditioning and tried one on Day 15 and it was still a touch bitter yet so i let the rest if the bottles condition for another week and a half and tried it again and it is EXCELLENT. TOTALLY drinkable and i WILL be making more of this really soon.
