A great mash-up, this dark wheat ale is velvety smooth on your palate as it luxuriously slides down your throat. The hazy melding of chocolate malt, wheat and banana/clove flavors all meld together surprisingly well. It's a conundrum, kind of like its namesake art style. All that's left is a small smile left lingering as you pause and think, "Ah, Velvet Elvis is definitely in the house!"

    Great winter brew...

I conditioned this one for a little over 4 months before I cracked it open. It's hard to describe the flavor other than to say that it tastes like a cross between a porter and a weissbier which is exactly what it is. But the flavors meld together way better than expected. Vaguely I do taste both chocolate and banana esters with a nice hoppy finish. After a few sips the flavor really grew on me and I realized how much I like it. This one has enough alcohol to give you a nice warming sensation on the way down. This one foamed a little too much out of the bottle but I think that may have been a brewing error on my part. A perfect brew to warm you during the winter months.
