Developed by Hop Breeding Company and released in 2012, Mosaic contains a high alpha content and features a unique and complex aroma profile that translates favorably into a variety of beer styles. It is the daughter of Simcoe and a Nugget derived male. Mosaic is named in honor of the artistic assortment of aromas and flavors it is capable of presenting, such as berries, citrus, flower blossoms, and tropical fruits. Best when used on its own in pale ales, IPAs, and saisons.
A common commercial example of this hop in use is by Deschutes Brewing in their Fresh-Squeezed IPA.
