Too Expensive
For the cost you could do dozens of batches with regular sugar.

Like the Carbonation drops
No problems with the carbonation drops. They are convenient and easy to remember and to detect how many of them you've added to the bottles.
However, I haven't found a way to cut them into halves for the 12 oz bottles. Does anyone have a good idea?

Great for the new brewer
People have said "Oh they are too expensive", but I would wholly recommend them for their simplicity in building your brewing skills. Once you have perfected the foundation, then you can get into batch priming etc. I think these really help new brewers see how much carbonation affects the end product, so as they progress they can use online calculators to change carbonation expectations between different styles of beer.

Carb Drops
Got my kit for Christmas last year and brewed a batch of nicely conditioned ale. Drops didn't work. Not even a little bit. No carbonation whatsoever. Changed temps, experimented with different lagering times and even got new bottles/caps on case they weren't air tight. Nothing. Super disappointed and a waste of a good batch of brew/4 months of my life. Do yourself a favor and toss these bad boys in the garbage and use measured sugar for your fizz needs.

Nothing to complain about here!
I tell ya, Mr. Beer really takes the guesswork out of brewing beer! It doesn't get any easier to carb than this. No need to mess with measuring out sugar, and I've never had flat beer, or exploders using the carbonation drops. Just follow the guide, and never go wrong. 2 drops for my 750ml PET bottles, and I'm good to go. Helps the bottling day move a little faster.

Can i add carbonation drops to water to make carbonated water
If you add yeast as well, it'll work, but you'll be able to taste it.
Plus, carbonating with yeast and sugar this way will add a small amount of alcohol, about 0.5% abv.
Cheers!

If I’m using a 2 gallon container, how many drops do I use?
It may be easier at that volume to use a calculator like Brewer's Friend (https://www.brewersfriend.com/beer-priming-calculator/). You can use their calculator to find your style of beer and how much sugar (of your choice) it will take to carbonate your batch.
Feel free to call or email if you have more questions.
Cheers.

Are carbonation drops and brewmax booster used for the same purpose?
Hello, They are not. Carb drops are only for carbonation and Booster is used during fermentation to boost alcohol. Cheers!

Crazy question. I got one of your kits a few years back but don't drink much beer. I am getting into making home brewed soda pop with small amounts of champagne yeast Would your drops help increase my carbonation?
Hello, carb drops are just sugar so they will work in nearly any natural carbonation process. Cheers!

Can you use honey instead of sugar for carbination
You sure can, it's even the same ratio; 2x tsp for each 740ml bottle.

my American Lager kit did not come with carbonation pack. can i buy these when i get bottles and use them with the Lager beer?
Hello,
Not all kits come with carb drops but you can purchase them separately or you can use sugar to prime your bottles with this chart here: https://www.mrbeer.com/media/wysiwyg/Misc/sugar.png
Cheers!

I'm going to be using these in my cider, which is being racked in the fridge. Does it matter at what temp my cider is for the drops?
If the yeast you are using is still active at your priming/conditioning temps, carb drops will work!
Cheers!
