    A Good Beer Made Better

    Like all the recipes I do I like to do some work on it. For this one I first steeped a pack of Crystal Malt 60 and a pack of Chocolate Malt for 30 minutes to give it a bit more flavor. It really came out tasting great.

    Hope I don't drop this one.

    I am looking forward to the Drop it like a Scot recipe. I made the ESB recipe and really enjoyed it. From the recipe this looks like it has some similarity.

    Drop in for some Scottish peat!

    As a scotch drinker what I appreciate with this brew is a bit of a peat flavor finish. It's a smooth flavor and the peat finish might not be for everyone. But it is a Scottish ale so you would have to think it would have something that makes it distinct. I really like the initial taste as an ale. Brewing is easy and doesn't take long to build the wort with the addition of the hops included. I didn't think the IBU was necessarily 25 but maybe that's just me. I really enjoyed the first time I brewed this that I already bought it again to brew a second time to see if I get the same results. If you brew this one enjoy it as a bit of a different twist!
