Overview: Ice-Clear WeissBier is a crisp, refreshing wheat beer inspired by Weihenstephaner Kristall Weissbier. Brewed with Bavarian Weissbier Brewing Extract, Golden LME, Booster, Pilsen Malt, Red Wheat Flakes, Hallertau hops, and WB-06 Wheat Yeast, it delivers traditional wheat beer character with a cleaner, clearer appearance and a smooth 6% finish.

Tasting Notes: Expect a bright golden wheat beer with smooth malt flavor, soft wheat character, gentle Hallertau hop bitterness, and classic WB-06 wheat yeast notes. It has the refreshing character of a wheat beer with a clearer, more polished look than a traditional cloudy weissbier.

IMPORTANT BREWING NOTE

Clarity Note: This recipe is inspired by Kristall Weissbier, a clearer take on wheat beer. To help achieve the clear look, this beer must be cold crashed for 48 hours after fermentation and bottled while still cold.

Fermenter Position Note: During fermentation and cold crash, prop up the spigot end of the fermenter with a rolled-up towel or similar support. This helps sediment settle away from the spigot and is important for a clearer finished beer.

Wheat Beer Note: WB-06 Wheat Yeast helps create the classic wheat beer profile, while Pilsen Malt, Red Wheat Flakes, Golden LME, Booster, and Hallertau hops keep the beer crisp, balanced, and refreshing.
