Your Brew Breakdown

Everything you need to craft your perfect brew

STORY

Overview: 3 Zombies IPA is a bold, hop-forward IPA brewed with Northwest Pale Ale Brewing Extract, 2-Row Pale Malt, Munich Malt, Crystal 60 Malt, Citra hops, and Safale S-04 yeast. It delivers grapefruit, lime, passionfruit, firm bitterness, fruity yeast character, and enough malt backbone to keep every sip balanced.

PROFILE

Tasting Notes: Expect a medium-bodied IPA with bright Citra hop aroma, grapefruit and lime flavor, tropical passionfruit notes, firm bitterness, and a sturdy malt profile from 2-row, Munich, Crystal 60, and Northwest Pale Ale extract. Safale S-04 adds subtle fruity esters that help round out the hop-forward finish.

IMPORTANT BREWING NOTE

Hop Schedule Note: This recipe uses Citra hops throughout. A 1/2-packet Citra hop sack boils for 5 minutes, a second 1/2-packet Citra hop sack boils for 5 more minutes, a full packet of Citra is added at flameout, and the final packet of Citra is dry hopped on day 16.

Fermentation Hop Note: The brew-day hop sacks are poured into the fermenter with the wort and stay in the beer for the duration of fermentation.

Yeast Note: Use the included Safale S-04 yeast for this recipe. Do not use the yeast packet from under the Brewing Extract lid.
