When my wife had bought me a Mr. Beer Kit she had also bought the American Ale refill with it as well. After doing a few beers I decided to go ahead and brew this bad boy. With this I added the LME soft pack and after 5 days of fermentation I decided to had a cup of local raw honey then bottled after 3 weeks total after fermentation. After a week of conditioning flavor wasn't much to write home about. Two weeks we were starting to get somewhere and after three weeks plus wow!!!! The finish was crisp and didn't taste as sweet. Head retention was decent as well as lacing on the glass. Will definitely try this bad boy again just to have on hand or even try other experiments with.

Fermented for three weeks conditioned for 4 weeks refrigerated for 3 days before trying. I was a little disappointed with this one.  Perhaps further conditioning will improve results.  The appearance was very good.  Not much of an aroma and the taste is kinda bland -- pretty crisp malty not much of a hop presence -- nothing special.  Your basic brew -- reminded me of when you first start drinking when you're young and you have a beer is beer approach to drinking so something nondescript doesn't bother you all that much.  That said this will be fine to have with a burger or chicken wings or on a hot day after mowing the lawn but would not be my go-to if I just want to sit back and enjoy a beer on its own.
