    My one and only Mr Beer fail

    I was looking for a light summery beer in the style of Corona and used the deluxe refill kit. The result was disappointing to say the least: the website description says Light gold color with a clean refreshing taste and a crisp finish but my brew is heavy and dark and tastes like sour gingerbread. I've made about a dozen Mr Beer kits so far and this has been my only real fail--I've liked every other kit I've made. My brews generally do look darker than in the website pics but this contrast--molasses vs lemonade-- is rather extreme.

    Fantastic color!

    Fantastic color! And good head on top. Favorite of my Mr. Beer brews so far. I'm guessing the booster packs had something to do with the final result?

    New favorite!

    This is my third brew of Aztec and it is currently my favorite. Last one I went off recipe a bit and replaced the HME booster with a cup of raw honey...turned out amazing! I do recommend a secondary fermentation after about 7 to 10 days which really brightens it up in the glass. Just ordered 2 more for a 5 gallon run.

    Disappointed.

    I ordered the deluxe cerveza refill and did not receive the can of malted extract only the 2 pou ches of extract. So I was unable to make the beer. Yes I was disappointed.
