Each packet contains 4oz. of milled grain
Has a sharper flavor than other roasted grains. A dark malt for use in porters and the occasional stout. Often used to provide color without the overpowering flavor that is characteristic of European-style dark beers. It will, however, produce a sharp astringency when used at higher rates. Use 1-4 oz.
Can be steeped or mashed.PLEASE NOTE: If you are not going to use these grains right away, we recommend that you refrigerate the packets to preserve freshness.
