It sat there on the windowsill, condensation sliding down its vertical planes, enticing. You happened upon it by chance, amazed that someone would leave it unattended, but eagerly questing for just a taste to quench your curiosity as well as your thirst. You take the risk, looking around to make sure your stealth is still in tact. Grasping your fingers around the contours of the glass, you pull it to your lips and swallow deeply. Blueberries explode, mingled with caramel and a tart apple finish. It was work the risk. You have just become the “Booberry Gobbler."

    Not very good

i made this right the way it was written. I even used sugar tablets that I ordered from you. I waited over two weeks after bottling before very little bubbles and tasted like vinegar. Will never try it again waste of money. May have been an old kit.

    Just right!

I added an extra can of fruit and everyone loved it especially the girls. It wasn't too sweet but yet you could still taste the berries.

    Basic Blueberry Apple Cider

If you follow the directions you will get a very Dry Cider with a very slight hint of Blueberry aftertaste. The color will be a slightly darker amber then you would get from straight apple cider. To get the best from this recipe you need to change it up by experimenting. Brew this like you would for a fruit Beer. Follow directions as prescribed (Especially for first timers) then during the fermentation process - perform a secondary fermentation for another 2 to 4 weeks. In the last stage of secondary fermentation add more Crushed fresh fruit (Usually last week to two weeks in fermenter) or canned. Just remember that canned fruit has a lot of excess sugar syrup and can change the taste drastically.Happy Cider making

Everyone seems to love this one.

I was surprised when I saw the color; the blueberries seem to have minimal effect on the color. As for the flavor; the blueberry taste is subtle but it's just enough to smooth out the tartness of the apples. I like a drier cider but there is just enough residual sweetness here for those who want something more dessert-like. I like to give out samples and this one got rave reviews from everyone. It's the perfect balance of flavors; possibly the best hard cider recipe in Mr. Beer's lineup.

Solid cider the founders would be proud

Easy instructions resulted in a quality cider that has a hint of summer in it. This is still a drier cider closer to an amber and less of a sweet taste that most commercial ciders. I altered the recipe a bit in that I added extra blended blueberries to really give it more flavor. Even with double blueberry it's not an overpowering blueberry flavor. Nor is it overly sweet. If you want to try an easy variation on a cider this is a good one to go with.
