Growing up in the Pacific Northwest one of my first craft beer experiences was with Redhook and their ESB. Since I have been brewing with Mr. Beer one of my goals is to find something similar to that ESB. This one is close. Deep red/brown color. Smooth enough to chug rich enough to not want to. Not to hoppy but great full body. Definitely recommend if you like a flavorful beer with out the bitterness of an IPA.

I normally add fruit after a week in the LBK to get a more pronounced fruit flavor. Instead I added both cans right at day 0. There is ALOT of blueberries in the final product. And this was maybe my fifth fruit brew. The two cans really does kick up the blueberry flavor a notch. The pureed blueberries grab onto the co2 bubbles in the beer to make by far the coolest beer I have ever brewed. You see blueberry chucks in the head and floating up and down in the beer. I think if I had conditioned it longer (I only did 4 weeks) it would have been a more mellow taste.
