    Got as a gift

I hope this helps. I received this kit as a gift I have been brewing 15 plus years getting my start with Mr Beer and a lbk. I decided to enhance the recipe a bit. I decided to make this a 5 gallon partial mash recipe. I started by adding 1 and a quarter lb of pisen malt to the malts that came with kit. Mashed them at around 152 degrees. I then brought it to a boil and added the lme and 1 box of the dome with the Saaz hops 1 oz boiled that for 1 hour. At 20 minutes left in boil I added 3 quarters oz of halletau hops at 20 minutes at 15 minutes left in boil I added yeast nutrient and a whifloc tablet and the second box of dme at 5 minutes left added another 3 quarters oz of halletau hops. After the hour boil was done I cooled down wort. When was was cooled down I pitched the yeast. I switched the yeast to a Herman lager liquid yeast that I had done a yeast starter with if you can do a starter use two packs of yeast. I then layered the beer as a true lager. Cheers
