STORY:

A holy matrimony of flavor, we took our Bavarian Wheat Brew and married it with our Hard Apple Cider, added some brown sugar and a bit of spices, and created a true match made in heaven. This hybrid brew will warm your soul with its more than adequate alcohol content that will create an apple-licious brewing experience.

PROFILE:

This cider/ale hybrid exhibits both the caramel malt flavors of a great wheat beer and the dry, fruity flavors of a great apple cider. This deep golden libation is like caramel apple pie in a bottle!

    My favorite recipe!

I've brewed this kit three times now. The flavor profile is amazing! Up front it has the crispness of a hard cider flavored nicely with the mulling spices and the finish is the nice full mouth feel of the Bavarian Wheat beer. Absolutely my favorite brew!

    A fine apple ale

Somehow i got more apple flavor with this recipe than when I brewed the Hard Apple cider straight up. The beer character from the Weissbier comes through as well very resfreshing. Definitely give it 4-6 weeks to condition and the flavors blend together nicely.

    Not my cup of tea

Made this a few months ago followed the recipe with no alterations. The Beer/cider turned out OK but I didn't enjoy the combination of beer and cider.

    Too fruity

Not my favorite brew so far. This one has a bitter flavor with a heavy lemon aftertaste. I have made 4 home brews prior to this one so I am far from a pro but I followed the instructions word for word and just wasn't pleased with the results tastes a bit like one of those summer shandy beers. Gave this to a few people got thumbs down from the guys and thumbs up from the ladies go figure LOL. Overall if your looking for a sweet taste and slight beer feel than this ones for you...
