    High Octane

I have always been a fan of mash-ups combinations & making something just a little different. I cook professionally so it's natural. One of the reasons I was drawn to this M&B recipe. I think using soda as a base for fermenting your beer is a great idea. As it turns out it certainly is.It's not hard to do really.Everything you need is in the kit. The instructions are clear & they are super easy to follow. The hardest thing about this kit is waiting for your beer to mature. After the first 14 days known as bottling or racking this batch sure was ready to go! It of course needed carbonizing. Two weeks in the fermenter two weeks sitting with a scoop of sugar & two days in the fridge to condition & chill. It's tasting time!It was ready to get in my belly! I had to open the bottle in stages like a shaken soda. Twisting the cap to release some of the gas closing it & doing it again till it settled down enough to fully open. A nice pour & it's ready to taste. Mmmmm. It has a nice nut brown taste to it. This is because of the malts used. Very nice if you like those flavors. It's not a thick beer it's just a very dark malty beer. The pictures seem to capture it in a way to make it look thick. You soak two types of malt during the starting phase to give it that taste. Not quite a Maduro nut brown a malt nut brown (not to be confused with the milk drink).Bottom line if you're looking to take your brewing up a notch this is a great recipe kit to do that with. It's not complicated…

    M@B Cream Ale

Easy to follow directions but had to look the directions up online as the directions on the bay of the label were pretty generic!

Didn't really like it after being bottled on day 20. So we let it set for a week or two later and really enjoyed it . We will be ordering again.

    M&B cream Ale

This was very easy to do the only thing I wish the direction would have stated was to use the S-04 yeast that came with the recipe and the one that was included with the October fest was not needed .
