STORY

Overview: Mr. Beer’s Blonde Shell Ale is a clean, refreshing blonde ale brewed with Golden Ale Brewing Extract, Vienna Malt, Carapils Malt, Pilsen Malt, Simcoe hops, Cascade hops, Citra hops, Nottingham ale yeast, and a light dry hop addition. It delivers balanced malt flavor, subtle hop aroma, crisp bitterness, and a smooth 5.2% finish.

PROFILE

Tasting Notes: Expect an easy-drinking blonde ale with smooth malt flavor, light grain character, a touch of hop aroma, and clean bitterness. It is balanced, refreshing, and built for warm-weather drinking.

IMPORTANT BREWING NOTE

Hop Portion Note: This recipe uses only a portion of the included hop packets. The remaining Simcoe, Cascade, and Citra hops are not used in this recipe and can be saved for a future brew.

Dry Hop Note: A small Citra dry hop addition is added on day 12 of fermentation to boost hop aroma without making the beer overly bitter.

    Great Beer

Highly recommend this one. Great IPA with harsh bitterness. Starting drinking after 3 days in the refrigerator after full carbonation. Was much better after 1 week maturing in the fridge. Dry hopping worked great.

    Well-balanced Pale Ale

When I first tried this at 2 weeks conditioning I liked it quite a bit. The Citra hops were pronounced & it reminded me of the Workout IPA I recently made.I just tried it after 24 days and it’s great! So much more balanced less hoppy and more like a pale ale like Two-Hearted Ale or Sierra Nevada Pale but softer bitterness. This is at least as good as most of the craft beers I like. Very well-balanced & easy drinking.
