    One of my favorites

I've made this several times sticking to the exact recipe but with pumpkin spice instead of mulling spice. It's a sturdy bold beer just right for fall. Just enough pumpkin to make it good and not sickening. It's one of my favs.

    Amazing pumpkin flavor

I too had substituted the mulling spice with pumpkin pie spice and added a cinnamon stick to the hop sack as well as a bit more pumpkin puree... The result is terrific. Big time pumpkin flavor with some cinnamon sweetness to kick it up a notch. Really like the Pumpkin Rising Spiced Ale I made last year but this may have edged it out as my top pumpkin beet.

    Turned out well

This recipe turned out well. I used a bit more pumpkin than what was called for and used pumpkin spice rather than allspice. If you like pumpkin brews you won't be disappointed with this. Remember to take your time with it. Let it ferment for a full three weeks. Carbonate a full three weeks and let it sit for another month to condition.
