    Hooray Beer!

As far as wheats go I enjoyed it. I took extra steps by adding lemon juice during bottling to add some bite to it and I was not disappointed.

Looking forward to it butCheck best before dates

Just started brewing process and looking forward to the finished product! I was a little concerned that the malt was in a can with Best before date of July 2024 And I only purchased it (3 kits in fact with July 2024 best before dates) for Father’s Day in June. When I called to ask about it I spoke with Josh who was very short in his response. He informed me that the product comes from Australia who uses a different marking system for perishable goods. Also no written instructions or included with the whole kit and Josh told me they stopped Printing them in 2020. It was good information but could have been delivered in a more friendly manner.

    OVERactive Raspberry Wheat Brew!

I loved the sound of this recipe - raspberry wheat. I hope the taste lives up to the name (I just bottled it a few days ago). It was easy enough to make - however I had thought the kit would come with some kind of raspberry-flavored extract to use (my own ignorance I didn't read the description well enough). So I had to find my own. And I couldn't. At least none that was priced right. None of my local stores (grocery or Wal-Mart) had anything that I could use. But they did have fresh raspberries. So I simply made my own raspberry reduction and added about a cup and a half of it to the wort. Boy did that produce an active fermentation! Blew the air lock right off. And then the whole lid. I had to fashion a hose into a bowl of sanitized water to handle it for a few days. Then it settled down and everything went fine for the next 7 or 8 days. As I said I just bottled it and am just waiting a couple of weeks before I move it into the fridge and then a taste. It was a fun brew regardless!

    Makes a Great Sour!

Bought this kit and used it with Lallemand Wildbrew Philly Sour Ale Yeast 11 Gram package. made an excellent sour beer. Fermented at about 75 degrees F to make sure lactic acid production was good. Lots of fermentables did overflow 2 gal fermenter as predicted. Since the Sour Philly isn't good for bottle conditioning added a pack of the Belle Saisson yeast a few days before bottling. Bottled at the 21 day mark. If you like sour beers this is a pretty good recipe to make one from.
