Brewin's hard out there for a pirate, what with this hook and only one good eye, it's been much trial and arrroror getting this recipe perfected for the pirate day regatta... but I did it. Dark as the sea on a moonless night, and sturdy as a deckhand in a hurricane, this palate-plundering stout will leave you weak in the knees and ready to walk the plank for just one more schooner full.

RECIPE INCLUDES:

WARNING: Due to the large amount of malt, your keg may overflow or explode! Maintaining proper fermentation temperatures toward the lower end of the yeast's range is key to preventing this problem. (See brewing instructions for details).

    OMG!

This is a magnificent ale beautiful color outstanding head nice lacing and taste is wonderful. Everyone liked this ale sophisticated drinkers and novices. Even tho the suggested lagering time is long after a month it was exceptional I can't wait to try it 4 months from now. I let this ale ferment 17 days cold crashed it for 2 days racked and batch primed it let it carbonate for 2 weeks and then lagered it at 55 degrees for 4 weeks chilled it for 3 days a 37.5. This ale was crystal clear with a negligible amount of trub in the bottle. I let bottles sit for 10 minutes at room temperature before serving. I will be making this again for a summer BBQ party. I have no idea on ABV I care little about ABV and brew for color clarity head lacing and taste but it does pack a punch.
