    Great flavor short conditioning time

I cracked open my first Witch's Flight today four weeks after bottling and it is one tasty beer. The Falconer's Flight hops give it a great aroma. On the palate it has a pleasing hoppy bitterness great mouth feel and it goes down very smoothly with a lingering but satisfying after taste. It is quite simply delicious. And after brewing a lot of recipes that need months and months of conditioning it's nice to have one that's fully drinkable four weeks after bottling. I will definitely be brewing this one again.

    Very Impressed!

and i'm not saying this due to the fact there's a prize for the best review for a product purchased on this website. I posted great compliments about this recipe on the Mr. Beer Forum. I usually rack my beer from primary to secondary and so I sampled some of the witches flight and at the time it was pretty hoppy to many. however after a week in the secondary I tried another sample and Wow! what a difference the hops are more subtle and there's a slight flavor of a hint of chocolate. I added some victory malt grains to it to give it a lil toasty flavor and I can taste a little of that as well. i'm brewing 5 gallons of this one and so far I think this is the best tasting beer I've made with Mr. Beer products!

Had to track down the hops!

Realized that Mr. Beer no longer seems to have the Falconers Flight hops needed for this recipe. Found them at a local brewing supplier in the area and went from there. I really like this beer!

Very drinkable and balanced brown ale

This is the 2nd brew I brewed was very impressed by how balanced it was considering how simple it's built. One can of HME one pack of LME some hops. Nothing too fancy.Fermented for 3 wks bottle conditioned for 3 more then opened one up every week to test how it ages. Good right out of the gate. Brew is amber/ brown slightly cloudy yet has lager/ bread notes nice aroma from the Falconer hops lightly carbed (with table sugar not the drops). Like a light porter with subtle malt flavor and almost no bitter. Simple and great brew even my wife liked.
