STORY

Overview: Workout IPA is a light-bodied, hop-forward IPA recipe built for brewers who want bold bitterness without a heavy beer. It starts with Canadian Blonde Brewing Extract, then adds oat flakes, Booster, Citra hops, Centennial hops, Safale US-05 yeast, and Beano tablets to create a crisp, dry, low-calorie IPA.

PROFILE

Tasting Notes: Expect a light-bodied IPA with bright hop aroma, citrusy and floral hop character, firm bitterness, a crisp mouthfeel, and a dry, refreshing finish.

    Amazing shocking flavor

Amazing taste for a light beer. So far this is my favorite mr beer recipes. This beer has flavors of sweet grapefruit with a bitterness off the back side. Very easy session drink. I will make this one again for sure. You can’t beat this low cal/low carb easy to make beer.

Not as good as some recipes

I was really excited for this recipe however the beanie dry out the beer and for some reason it brought out the malty flavor too much ..I might try doing it again but as of now this is my least favorite mr beer recipe

    Work Out IPA

Super IPA brew. A favorite Great yellow/amber color full bodied flavor & mild citrus aftertaste. Added packet of LME for more flavor. My friends love it.

    Great IPA & Lo-cal

I’ve tried the other Workout recipes & liked them both. This one is probably my favorite. It’s not so much light as it is crisp and surprisingly full flavored. The hop profile is delicious & it has a good IPA type bitterness. This is after 3-4 weeks conditioning. I wish I had taken a photo I cold crashed & it is as clear as the picture. I highly recommend this. Compare this to the Not Plato’s Brut IPA Recipe which also has the crispness from Beano tablets but adds a second booster so not quite as lo-cal.
