Great addition to your brew!!
I recently bought 2 packs of this LME. I wanted to add a little more ABV and some body to my beers. I used one pack along with a pack of booster in my Beach Baby Blonde and the results were great. It really gave my beer a nice body, flavor and fullness to my beer. I also liked the head it gave to my beer it was like I had bought the beer from a brewery. Great product and plan on getting some more to add to a few other brews. Also great way to increase your beers ABV without messing with the flavor of you beers end result.

You really can't go wrong with a Mr. Beer product
I've lost count, but I'm near 2 dozen brews at this point. Nearly every one has been great, with a few exceptions that I'm pretty sure are my fault. You can't go wrong with a Mr. Beer product.

This addition is always a plus to add gravity point to your brew. It is a good option as opposed to the dextrose that comes with other kits. Always a good addition.

Would four softpacks (2.2 pounds) added to four of the 1.87-pound cans (7.48 pounds) reduce the flavor of the hops in the final product? How much UnME is "too much?"
That will depend entirely on what your palate, but if we use the BU/GU ratio (bittering units / gravity units), then we can at least compare.
The 1.87lb can by itself makes a low ABV beer with a drier mouthfeel, it will lean hoppy.
With one LME pack that ratio moves to a balance between the hops and malt and increases the ABV by a little over 0.5%.
With two LME packs, you'll get another 0.5% or so and push the flavor profile to more malty than hoppy.
Once you hit three per can, the malt character dominates and it's more along classic styles of rich malty lagers.
Part of the fun is finding out what you love.

i currently use a brew max booster. Is the softpack LME meant to replace the booster?
My opinion is you can use both if you wish, the LME will add very nice head retention (and a small abv boost, no more than 1%) and some malt flavor (so to speak) just makes the malt more forward, I love it simply for the nice head retention it adds to my brew, short answer use lme or booster or both! Its your beer! Happy brewing!! Jonny!

When do i add the BrewMax LME softpack?
To the cold (or warmed-up a bit) water BEFORE you start to heat it for a five-minute boil to sterilize it-- before the hopped malt syrup and its water goes into your LBK. Mix the softpacks in really well and stir constantly during the five-minute boil.

What is Pale LME? Is it designed for specific types of beer? When do you add it in?
Pale LME (Liquid Malt Extract) is meant for light-colored brews or any brew where you'd like an extra punch of malt flavor and ABV.
They come in our Deluxe Refills and in certain Recipes.
Feel free to experiment, the LMEs add about 0.5% ABV to your finished brew and will make them more malt-forward.
Add them in whenever you're adding in a can of malt.

I randomly had two of these added to my order. Am I suppose to add them or are they just a bonus? No instructions about how to add or if it's recommended with my refill?
Disappointing that you didn't get any answer on this, but maybe I can help or hopefully, you got it figured out. It had been awhile since I placed my order and I was wondering how to use the LME packs, too. I went back to the details on my order and saw it listed with the recipe. Lookup the specific recipe for instructions on how to use.
