Add it slowly to warm water off heat to prevent clumping or scorching. Stir until fully dissolved, then proceed with your brewing as usual.

Our Smooth Liquid Malt Extract (LME) Softpack is an easy-to-use, flavor-packed malt addition that enhances body, improves mouthfeel, and boosts head retention. Because it’s already in liquid form, it’s quick to mix in and perfect for new and experienced brewers alike.

Flavor Profile:
Deep amber color with subtle coffee notes and a smooth, toffee-like richness. Slight residual sweetness rounds out the malt character, making it ideal for darker styles like browns, porters, and stouts — or any brew that could use a malty backbone.

Ingredients: 100% Pure Unhopped Liquid Malt Extract

Fermentables: Adds approximately 1% ABV and 4 SRM units when added to a Mr. Beer refill or recipe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AZNHB from Great for ambers! Tossed this in with the Bewitched refill and it was worth it! Gives it nice color, body and flavoring - a step down from Robust LME and a step up from Golden. Would recommend for ambers, any medium-dark lagers.

It is a very dark beer with an unbelievable head on it {be careful when you pour it}. If I had one small detail to mention then it is a little sweet but it does really taste good. I followed instructions to the hilt and even let the first bottle stay in the refrigerator for 48 hours before opening it. It is a mild great tasting beer.

They are smart option. I did have issue with getting all the LME out of these soft packs did seem a bit of a challenge without making a small mess.

A disaster if I used 4 x LMEs and 4 x Boosters in an 8.50-gallon batch using 4 x 2.87-pound cans? 11.48 pounds ÷ 8.50 gallons = 1.35 pounds malt/gallon = SAME AS 2.87 pounds ÷ 2.125 gallons. My fermenter is 12 gallons-- it can handle the krausen...

Do you use the softpacks in place of the canned extract or in addition?

In addition, because the softpacks are NOT hopped and will not provide any flavor to your beer.

Do you use the BREWMAX LME SOFTPACK in addition to the booster?

You can, if you want to. They are designed to be mixed and matched to whatever brew you want to make. The powdered Boosters won't add color or flavor, just body and ABV, so if you want more maltiness add an LME too. Cheers!

Yes, you sure can! The LME packs and Boosters are interchangeable and mixable. All of the LME packs will add color and maltiness to the finished beer, so mix and match to your heart's content. Cheers!

If I am trying to get a taste like Lager beer which Brewmax booster would I use and how many packs for 2 gallon LBK?

Pale LME will be the mildest if you don't want to change the color or flavor too much. Smooth will add amber color, body, and quite a bit of malty sweetness. Golden will add haze, body, maltiness, and just a touch of tartness. Robust will add darkness, body, and burnt/toastiness. All of these work great in lagers, it's just a matter of what you want in your lager! Cheers.
