Really really happy with Mr. BeerMy wife and I bought two 2 gallon fermenters and a 6 gallon fermenter. We purchased a total of 13 refills. We have brewed a Porter and the American Lager. They both turned out great and it was SO easy! Next crew we will be making a recipe which is more involved. We date really excited to continue our be brewing journey with all the refills we have. I definitely recommend Mr. Beer, it's a cheap, easy really fun hobby and you get beer and save money!

Very nice product but learned my lesson.I really like the volume of the kit and the build quality. My only complaint is the location of the spigot. I had to tip the fermenter to not leave a large amount of beer in the fermenter when bottling. Being by myself, I realized this is a two person job. I tipped the fermenter and made a huge mess on the floor (luckily tile), and wasted some beers.

Easy Inexpensive KitAwesome taste. Used RO water and fermented in boiler/laundry room that gets no sunlight and stays between 72 and 75 degrees. 9 days in and it was ready for bottling. Keep a container under the bottling wand to catch the drips when switching bottles. 2 weeks later and beer was ready for the fridge.

Great kit. I really liked the collar.I had a lot of fun doing my first brew with this kit. I brewed during a hot Houston summer and kegged it to force carb. It takes longer than 7 days to finish. It didn't hit it a stabilized final gravity till about 23-24 days. I think it was because of the booster. Too much sugars? I'm pretty happy with the kit. I like that it has everything you need from start to finish. Love the collar technology (FYI why I chose this kit opposed to one with an air lock). I will probably only replace the hydrometer. Tasted it after 5 days sitting in the frig. Turned out pretty good!

How great this diy kits is, I would recommend thisWaiting the 14 days just bottled it in April 9th but looking forward to trying it smells good the complete kit is great and easy to read recipe thank you for the great product you cell
This is a 5 gallon fermenter. There is a 6.5 gallon fermenter sold https://www.mrbeer.com/coopers-diy-beer-fermenting-vessel which looks the same.
Is the 6.5 gal fermenter in fact the same as this one, or are there 5 gal and a 6.5 gal fermenters?
Asked by: Megavolt17
They are the same fermenter, 6.5-gallon capacity, most 5-gallon fermenters are a touch oversized so if you brew something known for foaming up (big ABV beers, fruit beers, etc.) you need the extra space.

I'm brewing an American Porter and don't have carbonation drops. I'm using your 25 oz bottles. How much sugar should I put in each bottle in lieu of the drops?
Asked by: Mackster
Hello! Here's a chart to guide you in using priming sugar!

Can I get the complete kit with pilsner instead of lager
Asked by: GilS
Do you do 1 gallon beer kits
Asked by: Wet back post questions
Why doesn’t the kit have an airlock / bubbler? I have seen other manufactures with the 5 gallon buckets and an airlock bubbler in the top.
