Rated 5 out of 5 by Noah0504 from Great Falvor Made this Golden Ale without any modifications. Fermented at 72 degrees for 2 weeks and bottle conditioned for 3 weeks. Touch of malty sweetness balanced with the hops makes it a refreshing easy drinker. Mine had chill haze, but the color is still great. Head retention was decent, but may be improved by even further bottle conditioning. I'll be making sure to have this one in the future pipeline again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DavidH from First timer Simple to make and very refreshing. The Mr. Beer process was easy to follow and the results were very good. Just be careful to clean the tools and bottles! The Golden Ale was my first attempt and it was excellent in my (and my wife's!) opinion Fresh beer is just better. I've tried the amber ale and it too is excellent, next up is a porter and a lager. The time invested to make, an hour to mix then an hour to bottle, is all it took. Waiting the two weeks then waiting another two weeks is, of course, the hard part!

The folks at Mr.Beer have taken the difficulty out of brewing and if I have any questions, they're always happy to listen and help.

Rated 5 out of 5 by StoutMeister from Excellent light pilsner with sweet aftertaste I love this one! It's a nice light pilsner with a sweet aftertaste, almost like honey. Nice and full bodied. I'll definitely be stocking up on this one.

My golden lager has been bottled, but I lost the directions and don't know how long I should wait for the carbonation drops to work. How long should they stay bottled before I throw in the fridge to drink?

Asked by: Share24
You should leave them in the bottle for 3 weeks for best results! Cheers!

Do I need to add sugar?

Asked by: Gregory UK
You do not need to add sugar to the brewing process. You will need to add sugar when you go to bottle your beer for the carbonation to take place.

golden ale extract came with two different yeasts, one under the lid and a separate ale yeast.   Which do I use? and it came with hops pellets, but the instructions say nothing about when to add them?

Asked by: beer fan

How many 12oz bottles will the Golden Ale make. It seems like the can is bigger. This is my first time trying this kind. Thanks.

Why does it taste fruity?
