Rated 5 out of 5 by LtColt from A solid IPA Over the course of my 14 month (and growing) relationship with Mr. Beer, I've made several variations of the Diablo IPA, and every batch has been outstanding. This IPA is great by itself, but I usually experiment a bit and personalize my beer by adding different varieties of hops, and fermenting with various strains of yeast (all available from MrBeer.com). I recommend letting this beer bottle condition for at least 4 to 6 weeks for optimal flavor and carbonation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Maverick from Quick batch/very hoppy I like to brew up a mr beer refill for a quick batch every now and then. Always happy with the results and finally got around to do the diablo ipa . This one is very enjoyable! It has great hop aroma, very bitter from the start and ends with a dry finish. Definitely recommend this one to those that enjoy a very bitter hoppy beer. for my brewing process I used a booster and some DME and fermented in the lbk for a total of 4 weeks, bottled for another 4 weeks and let some sit in the fridge for a few days. Definitely be patient and let this beer condition in the bottles, the results are worth it! These refills are excellent to do If you want to get into home brewing or if you don’t want to spend 5 hours on a brew day. I recommend this one and any other refills to anyone. Mr beer has some great kits that never disappoint!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Daniel from MrBeer The beer kits are very good. No need to change anything. I has done so with some kits but the results are not much better then the kit alone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DEFbrewer from Know how to boil water? If you know how to boil water you can brew this awesome IPA. Nothing else added to the brew except time. Great value for such a rich flavoured IPA.

Rated 4 out of 5 by AMiles from Diablo IPA The Diablo IPA had great taste and the brewing process was fun; however, we wanted a higher alcohol kick to it and it lacked that buzz feeling after drinking it. I will say no after taste and not a lot of fling to spit after drinking it. Pretty Good I might say, just not that buzz kick.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jason Sullivan from good beer, not hoppy enough I have brewed this beer twice, the first time was when I first got my mr. beer kit. I loved the head retention, the color and the taste. however, after tasting other hoppy beers this wasn't exactly hoppy to me. still like the beer though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Millen from Good IPA I purchased this to make as a gift. The person I made it for was very pleased with the taste. I personally am not a huge IPA fan but for people who are this is a great beer to brew and super-easy since it's just a one-step process.

What kind of hops are in the Diablo IPA, it is delicious, just made a batch, excellent taste.

Asked by: Ed B
Thank you for the praise, but we don't have an answer in the US. Our parent, Coopers, tends to be secretive with formulas and ingredients, but I do know that Pride of Ringwood is an often used bittering hop. Cheers!

What is the average fermentation time for the Diablo IPA once the reading is constant for 2 days, would 14 days be OK. Cheers.

Would I want to drink a mixture of one can of Northwest Pale Ale and one can of Diablo IPA? Haven't done it yet; just wondering...
