Use Aroma Hops to take your Beer to the Next Level!
Aroma hops (also called finishing hops) provide the various hop flavors and bouquets to beer. Because hop oils are volatile, and will evaporate away in heat, these are best used at the end of a boil. “Dry-hopping”, or adding hops to the batch of beer 1-2 weeks after primary fermentation, is also a common method of infusing hop flavor and aroma into the beer. Hops with low alpha acids (AA%) tend to work best as aroma hops.
