Who doesn't love Root Beer?!
*Disclaimer - I actually wrote this review in the Hacked Root beer section by accident. It was meant for here*
Santa brought this kit to my daughter for xmas this year because she had an interest in brewing with dad. Instructions were simple and the process was so convenient and time valuable. After 5 days we refrigerated a bottle for her NYE party with some of her 11 year old friends. Needless to say, the bottle went in 5 minutes because it was so tasty. The next bottle we opened the next day and I wasn't ready for the carbonation...it fizzed, then shot up into my face. Giving us both a great laugh. We still had half the bottle to drink and loved it. We will definitely be brewing this again for the taste, partnership between father and daughter, and the laughs it created. Thank you Mr. Beer for making the brewing process a family thing.

The root beer tastes so good!
This root beer tasted great and the kit was so easy to follow! I would definitely recommend to the root beer lovers. My son is the root beer lover in the family and I had gotten him the original box kit for Christmas. Once we finally made the root beer, he was certain he wanted more. The rest of the family liked the root beer too and can't wait to make more.

Grandkids project
This is the 3rd time myself and my two grandkids have made RootBeer and they love it! The 11 year old reads the easy to follow instructions and the 6 year old does all the mixing. days later RootBeer floats. Great Time, Great product and great taste!

Best Root Beer - Guaranteed
Only downside? I can buy quality extract cheaper at a local brew store, make up to four gallons at a time, and save money. However, the quality and flavor of this root beer pack/recipe can't be beat. Easy to make and you will enjoy it!

Absoutely Delectable, my ehole family loves Mr. Beer's fantastic Root Beer. Sent an order to my family, same love for it. First 4 32 oz gone in 2 days. Fermenting in bottles for 3 days, a breeze and so wonderful for the upcoming holidays. Make sure you get the original Mr. Reer Root Beer Bottles with gaskets to add to lids.....

Rootbeer refill kit.
Rootbeer is good tasting! Yeast sometimes ends up in one bottle more than others - uneven disbursement. Last order only had 1 of 3 refills kits, but Mr. Rootbeer sent out the 2 replacements on a very timely basis. Will continue ordering this product. Thanks. PS: I should make another batch today!!! :)

Finally Real Root Beer
Fun way to make homemade root beer. Has great old time flavor with just the right carbonation. Only charge I made was to cut down on the sugar a little. One word of advice- be sure to check the bottles the next day! It’s probably all the time they need.

What is the shelf life for the items within the refill kit? I have a few older refill packs that are several years old. At what point/time frame would it be unsafe to use to make root beer? Thank you
The kits have a long life, but the yeast does not. The flavor crystals and flavor syrup are designed to be shelf-stable for a long time. The yeast will need to be replaced if it's over a year or two old, you can store them in the fridge for a very long time though, so if you're not planning on brewing it up right away, putting those packets (yeast, flavor crystals, and flavor syrup) into the fridge will preserve them for a very long time.

Best way to *mini*keg this?
Hello, I am not sure I fully understand the question, but if you would like to keg rootbeer, I would suggest chilling it after kegging and then force carbonating with gas. You could potentially naturally condition the rootbeer, but that is dependent on what type of keg you are using.
